We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and goal-driven Business Development Representative looking to make the next big leap in their career in the rapidly growing market of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Your goal will be to engage some of the hottest AI-based startups and largest companies in the world investing in AI/ML through a mix of outbound prospecting and inbound leads.

You are the right person for this challenge if you’re a pro at researching the market, understanding your target persona, testing outbound tactics and messages, and landing first-time conversations with the right people. You’re an expert at working hand-in-hand with marketing campaigns that drive highly successful inbound leads.

This job is for you if you have a knack for writing compelling emails, love talking to new people, and have an uncanny ability to uncover business pain points. And, because this is a new and exciting market, you thoroughly enjoy sharing your insights from the field with your colleagues.

-Generate a pipeline through strong selling and influencing skills to set up qualified appointments for Account Executives.
-Understand the OctoML platform and customer use cases enough to provide a high-level introduction.
-Uncover customer needs using BANT qualification.
-Connect Customers to Account Executives and attend customer meetings.
-Nurture existing leads to generate newly qualified conversations for AEs.
-Achieve (if not exceed) quarterly goals for generating calls
-Absorb the sales development playbook and be ready to start contacting new prospects.
-Conduct account development best practices with email, phone, sales automation, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Salesforce CRM.
-Understand ongoing sales priorities and targets.
-Provide best practices and feedback to managers and enablement.
-Extensive use of Salesforce CRM and other tools to build and maintain accurate customer and prospect activity, contact, and account information.

What we look for:
-1+ years of sales experience, including experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
-Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.
-Consistently meet sales or performance goals.
-Passion, people skills, and the ability to inspire others.
-Excellent customer service skills and sales acumen.
-Eager to learn, adapt well, and thrive through change.
-Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated.
-Proactive, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude.
-Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
