Responsibilities

Community Support (CS) has increasingly become a key driver of enabling Airbnb’s core business. Community Support Engineering is responsible for the world-class technology, architecture, and solutions that power CS at Airbnb. The products and capabilities we build empower our guests and hosts, CS agents, and operations teams around the world. As a member of Community Support Engineering in China, you will have a great opportunity to make lasting impacts on the CS user experience.

Qualifications:

– BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
– 12+ years of relevant experience in the tech industry; 4+ years of experience in an Architect or Staff Engineer role, with ownership responsibility over large-scale software systems.
– Engineering management experience is a plus, but not required.
– Hands-on experience with designing, implementing and shipping large-scale, high-performance software systems.
– Experience in designing and developing complex and durable APIs is a big plus.
– Track record in implementing solutions incorporating and implementing ML/AI, including Generative AI concepts, is highly desirable.
– A track record of complex, high-quality systems, architecture designs, combined with a passion for perfecting user experience and contributing to product strategy.
– The ability to take both system and product considerations in your decisions in crucial.
– A commitment to coach and mentor, with experience of owning and fostering engineering maturity and tech culture, in multiple organizations.
– Excellent communication ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment supporting a rapidly growing business, effectively operating in ambiguity and creating alignments with multiple teams.
– A proven track record of fostering a culture of strong commitment to engineering quality and excellence.
– A proven track record of fostering a culture diversity and belonging, within the organization and across the tech community.
– A proven track of working across global engineering communities to help engineers deliver high quality solutions while improving collaboration is desired.
– Fully proficient of communication in both Chinese and English language.
