Job Overview To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Engineer who has specialized knowledge in software to join our local team. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technical standards related to software and network configurations used in mechanical systems. This role includes auditing changes to equipment, providing essential technical support, and assisting in the formulation of standards for visual programming and algorithms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both mechanical engineering and software development. Essential Functions – Lead the production process improvement initiatives within the factory. – Conduct VSM analysis and identify process improvement targets. – Compile and organized lessons learned from daily production activities and continuous improvement projects. – Develop, revise, and optimize the latest layout drawings to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness. – Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize the flow of personnel and logistics within the factory area. – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of optimization projects. – Responsible for Standard Operation Procedures and Key Performance Index for each process and personnel. – Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity. – Monitor and evaluate process performance data to drive continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. – Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering within the automotive battery manufacturing industry. – Proven experience in layout improvement and process optimization. – Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. – Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools. – Proficiency in documentation and maintaining organized records. – Excellent problem-solving abilities and project management skills. – Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills. – Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position. – Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill levels. Preferred Qualifications – Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field. – Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies. – Project management certification (PMP or similar). Physical Requirements – Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs – Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting – Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds, as some equipment and materials might be heavy. – Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required, depending on the project. – Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities. – Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation. |
