Responsibilities

– Provide compliance support related to import and export controls and sanctions for business and functional departments, including reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), international trade agreements, the – Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and the U.S. Department of Commerce/Department of Defense Entity List.
– Develop compliance systems and solutions for the group company to guide product operations, computational power deployment and procurement, human resources, and intellectual property planning.
– Monitor and research relevant domestic and international laws, regulations, regulatory policies, industry standards, and trends.
– Collaborate with external lawyers, government relations, security, internal controls and audits, and legal teams to handle legal matters related to privacy and data protection.
– Develop and refine other compliance-related policies, rules, and procedures for company operations, such as contract filing, seal management, and online approval processes.
– Provide compliance support for the application, registration, and management of the company’s intellectual property, including trademark strategy, registration and management, patent applications, and software/electronic copyright registration.


Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher in law from a renowned domestic or international law school, with a qualification certificate for practice in Chinese law or common law.
– At least 5 years of work experience with a well-known internet/technology company or law firm, including over 3 years of legal compliance experience related to export controls and sanctions.
– Possess certain legal research abilities and experience.
– Demonstrate curiosity, a strong desire for knowledge, and a spirit of exploration regarding business, with excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and teamwork skills.
– Good English proficiency, capable of reviewing and drafting English contracts and conducting business negotiations in English.
