About the Team The e-commerce Risk Control team is dedicated to protect Shop from fraudulent activities and user abuses, ensuring a trustworthy and user-friendly marketplace for buyers, sellers, and creators. As a global team, we are developing and managing foundational platforms including the risk decision engine, enforcement framework, and model & graph platforms. These systems are tackling some of the highest throughput challenges across -commerce. In the US, our team collaborates closely with product, data, and operations teams to address challenging fraud attacks, enhance platform capabilities, and develop features to ensure efficient deliveries of risk events, strategies, and enforcements. Responsibilities – Design, implement, and maintain a highly scalable, reliable, and efficient risk control solution for the US Shop. – Drive cross-functional collaboration with the US product, data, and operations teams to mitigate fraud attacks and user abuses efficiently. Refine the workflows and procedures to achieve better cross-team collaboration. – Design and develop medium-complexity, highly scalable backend systems, services, and platform features to enhance platform capabilities. – Provide critical input into the risk control platform’s technical roadmap and direction, driving the implementation of key innovations. – Improve system design and architecture to achieve better system stability and performance. Improve product quality through bug fixes, performance analysis, and tuning. – Help grow the team by hiring and mentoring peer engineers. Minimum Qualifications – Solid problem-solving skills and strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style. – Deep understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security and highly scalable systems design. – Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions – In-depth knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka/MQ etc. Preferred Qualifications – Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline – Minimum 5 years of experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Golang/Python. |
