Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: – Formulate and implement both short-term and long-term strategies that harmonize with the company’s overarching aims. – Create and deploy tactical approaches to enhance the efficiency of freight routes, load consolidation, and transportation models that contribute to the company’s profitable growth. Operational Excellence: – Develop and implement key performance indicators(KPIs) to monitor the operation performance. – Implement processes and procedures that ensure smooth operations, including order processing, tracking, and reporting. – Implement best practices to minimize transit times, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency. – Develop and maintain documentation of standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. – Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary. – Evaluate and implement transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics technology to improve visibility and efficiency. – Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance freight operations. Requirement – Bachelor’s degree in supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree is a plus. – Minimum 10 years’ experience in freight operations and logistics management, including leadership roles. – Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize operations. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. – Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software. – Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. – Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of the freight industry landscape. – Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance, and safety standards in freight operations. |
