Responsibilities – Develop a deep understanding of the formal and informal institutions and networks that make, enforce and influence E-commerce law, regulation and policy in relevant country – Develop and execute on a strategy to assure that E-Commerce has visibility of and a plan for responding to existing and newly arising laws, regulations and policies in the relevant country – Collaborate closely with legal, public policy and public relations specialists and with product and operations teams to ensure a co-ordinated approach – Build internal and external risk detection and rapid response systems from zero to one Qualifications – Native level speaker of country language + fluent or above in English. – BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required – Proven understanding of regulatory landscapes and legislative mechanisms, with solid experience in public policy-related fields – Deep understanding of regulatory and media sentiment about commerce – Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills – Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure and ambiguity, with self-starting and motivated attitudes in a cross-cultural and fast-paced environment |
