Position Overview As a Manager of Web Architect Engineering with a focus on frontend development and Monorepo management, you will lead initiatives to optimize the development environment and workflows for frontend teams. Your expertise will directly impact the productivity and satisfaction of developers, allowing them to innovate rapidly while maintaining high code quality and consistency across our codebase within a Monorepo structure. Responsibilities – Lead a specialized engineering team dedicated to advancing the frontend developer experience, ensuring high efficiency, robust tooling, and seamless integration processes. – Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic improvements to our Monorepo architecture, optimizing build systems, dependency management, and code sharing across multiple projects. – Establish guidelines and best practices for frontend development that enhance code quality, streamline workflows, and facilitate a modular, component-based architecture. – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify pain points in the developer lifecycle and create innovative solutions to address them. – Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and frameworks that support the growth and scalability of our web platforms. Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. – Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in leadership roles focused on frontend development and tooling. – Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring engineers, setting technical direction, and driving project outcomes. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to articulate technical concepts to a wide range of audiences. Preferred Qualifications – Expertise in managing Monorepo structures for large-scale projects, familiar with tools like Lerna, Rush.js, or Bazel. – Strong technical foundation in modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular), web performance optimization, and DevOps practices. – Experience creating and improving developer workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. |
