Description Our client is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with global offices in various cities around the world. As a Data Engineer in the E-Commerce team, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing one of the largest data platforms globally. This position offers hands-on experience with various systems in the data platform ecosystem, impacting the company’s core products and millions of users. The role can be based in either our Mountain View or Seattle office. Responsibilities – What You’ll Do – Efficiently design and build data transformations for reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis. – Develop reliable, scalable, and robust big data systems that support core products and business operations. – Establish best engineering practices and design guidelines for both technical and non-technical team members. Requirements – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. – Proficiency in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, M/R, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, and Flink. – Experience in data analysis, data ingestion, and data integration. – Strong knowledge of ETL (Extraction, Transformation & Loading) processes and data system architecture. – Familiarity with schema design, data modeling, and SQL queries. – Passionate and self-motivated about working with Big Data technologies.
